Kathryn and her godmother
A walk to the Church bell to get some pictures taken. Cute the way Jonah and his older brother just stroll along the grass to the designated point. A favorite picture judged by Grandma and papa Tassé
Kathryn and family at the Church
Thomas is arriving with Gavin who is not feeling well. A trooper though to stay for a picture before Thomas gets him back home.
Father Wes talking to the Godparents and Kathryn and Jonah getting them ready for the Sacrement of Baptism.
During baptism, water symbolizes new birth into the Holy Spirit.
Jonah seems entralled with the whole process
Does Jonah think that Father Wes is playing with him?
The lighting of the Candles from the Paschal candle. The fire of the candle can also symbolize the light of Christ, particularly as the fire comes from the Paschal candle. This candle, blessed on Easter, represents Christ's triumph over evil. Some believe that Christ's light will help ward off any evil that might come the way of the person being baptized.
Kathryn, Jonah and godparents, Pauline and Rob.

First thing to mention is that Christine did not make these desserts...but they were great and in the form of a cross. Well done Sharon.
Sitting on the deck outside and socializing
Food provided by Kathryn was set out and made available to those who were hungry.
Mandy, being a young model, is showing where the food is...
Kathryn gave godparent gifts to Jonah's godmother and godfather
Let the opening of the presents begin
A lovely cross from Thomas and Kheayali
A great memorabila coin from Danny and Pierrette
This was a great hit from his great grandma. Her traditional picture included in the card was really appreciated from this youngster
I guess he liked the ring also ;)
A baptismal certificate holder from his grandparents
And the gift from his godparents....a tablet...as any kid in this day and age...this was a hit...which is why we made sure it happened at the end ;)
This just in from Tom and Marigene in the USA
All-in-all, it was a good baptism.
